How to create a good workplace?

2022-01-12

Many business owners struggle with the question "How do I create great jobs?"

Research confirms that one important value for employees cannot be overlooked in this process.

Trust.

Surveys conducted among employees in companies of all sizes indicate that if management (at every level) is transparent in its business practices and has developed good ways of communicating with employees, then this transparency breeds trust.

According to a report published in harvard business review, employees in high-trust organizations are more productive, collaborate better, and stay in their current businesses longer than their colleagues in low-trust organizations.

In one study conducted by Paul Zak, a pioneer in neuroeconomics and author of Trust Factor: The Science of Creating-High-Performance Companies, his team measured people's brain activity while they work and found that trust is a factor that makeswork exciting, productive, and innovative.Wanting to better understand why people trust each other, Żak discovered that the chemical oxytocin in the brain is a catalyst for facilitating trust and communication with others.

To promote greater trust in work teams, prosocial leadership behaviors, such as empathy and compassion, have been found to release m.in oxytocin in the brain, which improves well-being.

By taking trust issues to a more practical level in Point of View, Managers and Leaders do a few things that correlate well with trust-based behaviors:

- we maintain cultural and open ways of communication

- we share with employees our vision of the future and directions of development in the scope of the project or department

- we examine the pulse of the organization, constantly listening and responding to what we hear, so that we can serve the needs of our people, so that they, in turn, serve the company

- we give employees a wide range of training and development opportunities.

"We support Point of View every day in creating a good workplace and as leaders we are aware of the importance of building trust."

POV managers and foremen show commitment to a goal that inspires others to follow, which directly translates into the quality of service to our customers. When leaders have a strong tendency to meet the needs of others, when they show sincere care and compassion for their people, caring for their best interests, trust arises.

If you are or want to be a leader, know that your people are looking at you now, looking for guidance and a sure way forward. They want to know that they can trust you to make good decisions; they want to hear the voice of hope, to see understanding even in the chaos of everyday life.

And if you want to find security and provide excellent service – then you have the chance to start cooperation with an experienced partner such as Point of View – a leader on the logistics services market who cares about trust, good communication and high business culture.

When organizations invest in creating a culture of high trust, the return on investment is disproportionate. Great workplaces are characterized by much lower turnover and attract employees who feel good in them and identify with the company's interests, thanks to which POV customers feel taken care of.
